We ended up walking around some of the smaller streets and some of the main streets through the island. The area was first built with the working-class in mind and now it has become a trendy part of town, a little bit like the Haga area in Gothenburg.
A few still shots from our trip:
Walking down a sidestreet at about 7 PM
Jessi waiting for us to cross the street.
A van parked on the street.
A pedestrian sign with a unique sticker.
Traffic waiting to cross a main road.
A main square on the island.
Anja and Jessi walking to keep from getting even colder.
A street on the island.
A street grill still open for business.
One very large TV at a local pub.
Apartments in a row.
Tourist bicycles lined up.
Faust at the local opera house.
Advertisement on the side of an electrical box.
A parking sign and a no snow tires sign.
Sara, hi this is Chris, your fav bro! Just wanted you to know that it's 31 celsius here right now. I note that it's 1 celsius at your present location. I'm going to have an ice cream to try to cool down, suggest you have a hot chocolate to try to warm up. Come home, no coat needed...ever! :P PS: Bring home candy and lots of it! (AKA Poly) Love you my sister!
ReplyDeleteHey Chris! And for that comment, you're still my favorite brother! Yes, it's quite cold here and I think a hot chocolate sounds just abour right. Enjoy your ice cream and I'll go hunt down some hot chocolate. PPS: I'm eating Polly right now and will most definitely bring some back. Love you too my brother!
